"Head...Shoulders...Knees and...SOCKS!"
What to get? What to get?
So last night Spouse and I (like most of the US) watched the Friends finale - cute, predictable, and I liked how they brought back old stuff (duck & chick, phoebe's cab) and wrapped up other stuff (poor Gunther!) from seasons past. I heard on Howard Stern this morning a tape of some chicks who were crying - CRYING - because the show was ending. One of them actually said (between sobs) "What will we do without them?" Good lordy loo. I have one word for you sweetie: Syndication. I can watch Friends 500 times a day on cable (much like Law and Order!) and tune in next Thursday at 8pm when it will be on NBC if you don't have cable. I mean I am disappointed that I won't get to see new episodes, but it will always be on somewhere if I need a fix. (Or I can just by the DVDs if I'm that desperate...)
Otherwise, the week has ended on an up note. I'm enjoying listening to the thunderstorm that is currently passing overhead. (And it's always neat to see the lightening light up the sky.) Of course I enjoy them much more when I am inside the house as opposed to when I’m driving through one with hail!
It is a tired evening after a long day. Happily a majority of my colleagues are down south attending a conference, so I had lots of peace and quiet while I attempted to make a dent in a five year backlog of paperwork! Spouse, Child and I enjoyed a lovely dinner out at one of our favorite diners (amazing how a spoon and a straw can entertain a little one so much!) Child also enjoyed feeding me french fries and wiggling to the 80s pop music that was playing on the jukebox.
I’m also surfing Amazon.com to figure out how I should spend the gift certificate recently given to me as a gift. Any suggestions?
