"Head...Shoulders...Knees and...SOCKS!"

Well President Reagan is still deceased, and Washington is getting ready for him (again). According to the local news "The Nation is in mourning." There are a quite a few people who didn't get that memo, myself included.

So many people are saying that Reagan was the greatest President this country ever had. Sure he did some great things - the end of the cold war for one - but there were so many issues he didn't deal with that could have made a major impact on today - such as AIDS. And quite frankly, I'd rank FDR, Lincoln, Jefferson, and Washington as a few ahead of him on that list.

My friends and I have always been cynical when it came to Reagan. Especially when this group of Congressman started lobbying to name one major structure after him in every state. (Now I think it's every county!) That is when the new Federal International Trade Center building here in DC got named after him, and then Washington National Airport. I know MANY people who still will only refer to it as "National" (myself included.) We were joking that perhaps "Reagan" will become the new "Smurf" and it will just be the word that replaces everything. That would be Reagantastic!

And this is heartless, but due to the State funeral, federal offices will be closed, so we get the extra day off! This will be my third three-day weekend in a row. Bonus.
