"Head...Shoulders...Knees and...SOCKS!"
My first time (hee...hee)
So who is this new girl with the silly sock name? I'm a happily married mother of one, who enjoys spending time with the fam (we'll call them Spouse and Child for now), reading, cooking, adventures, being a mediawhore, and (as cheesie as this is) making a difference in the world around me. I also have a dark sense of humor, and a fabulous head of hair!
I work in the arts and as part of my job I see a lot of very bad art, that while created with good intentions, is just plain bad art. I also get to speak to a lot of people with a lot of interesting objects that they would like information on or that they would like to contribute to my institution. Today I had one person email me about some photographs - had the history of them all wrong. How did I kow this? Because I have seen these photos a gajillion times and know their history. She then counters (not really believing me) with an email that asked if the marking on the back of the photo could provide more information - it read "Agfa" Ummm...yeah...this is the company that manufactured the paper it was printed on. Think Kodak. OK, not everyone knows this, but a simple Google search certainly would have answered that question. Sadly, sometimes this is typical of my job.
Right now I'm watching the finale of the Apprentice. This show embarrasses me. Why? Because I am currently feeling mentally superior to Omarossa and everyone else on the show. I would make a kick-ass candidate on this show. They are running around like chickens with no heads, totally unorganized, and it just embarrasses me as a compitent human being to watch this. Yet they will all now be ahem... "celebrities"...ahem... trying to capitalize on their "fame." Oy. As I have already informed Spouse, he is spared from me becoming a reality TV star because a: I have no desire to do this and b: Donald Trump? ew.
