"Head...Shoulders...Knees and...SOCKS!"

It has been a quiet, BBQ free Memorial Day weekend. We did the obligatory shopping, and spent lots of time letting Child run around and expend energy. He was quite happy to have free reign of the playground and to be the center of attention when we visited with the family.

As a toddler, he is learning lots of new words and phrases. This is strangely interesting and amusing when he just pipes up with some sayings that totally throw us for a loop. For example the other morning I could swear that heard him say "Oh Sh*t!" when he saw himself in the mirror one morning. He is now into saying "please" "mommy!" "mine!" or "ME!" My personal favorite is "uh-OH!" which can be slightly unnerving when you hear that from the backseat of the car.

Everyday is a new adventure - and I'm facinated with watching him learn new things and be pretty fearless. That is certainly one of the coolest things about being a parent.
