"Head...Shoulders...Knees and...SOCKS!"

What to write about?

- All the books that I've been reading?  Inspired by Nomad I am keeping a list of all the books I've read in 2006.  We're way into going to the library, and since I'm such a bibliophile and Av loves to go, and they are free!  My plan is to do a recap with my notes and comments on what I've read. 

- How Shiny and I aren't watching the Super Bowl?  A couple commercials, but we're using the time to catch up on our shows on the DVR.  I've never been a huge Rolling Stones fan, so I don't care if we miss the halftimes show - They are on a 5 second delay, so it's not like Mick Jagger's dick is going to pop out.  And as far as the commercials go, all the good ones will be talked about tomorrow and available online so we'll still get to see those.

- That we did some stuff around the house?  I'm slowly catching up on framing things, and we hung two family portraits up this afternoon and my favorite mezzuzah.  That only took us 4-1/2 years to get around to.

- How about that when we went out to Av's favorite fresh-Mex place last night that I still ordered tofu instead of my usual steak.  I just like the flavor and texture better.  Doesn't mean I'm turning into a vegetarian freak or nothing. 

- I know - I'll write about how cute my kid is.  We were waiting to turn right onto a busy street to get to his school and this idiot woman chatting on her cell phone pulls through the intersection and completely blocks the box. Av wanted to know why we weren't going when the light turned green (that's his new thing - go! stop! red! yellow! green!) and I was very restrained in telling him that this lady wasn't being a nice driver and we couldn't go because we could not get around her.  His response?  "That makes my ears sad."  Aww....
