"Head...Shoulders...Knees and...SOCKS!"

Today I learned that reality can be dramatically from how you picture it will be in your head.

I had been told "This is how it will happen" by numerous people. So of course that is how I imagined things would go. I know now that this is not the case. This depresses me slightly, and totally sucks. Everything else has been generally easy - so why is he going to make this hard?

I understand that you are going through a lot of changes in your life right now, and that can be overwhelming and scary. Change can be good and positive - and please believe me when I say to you that this will help you in the long run. But I also understand that you don't fully understand everything that is going on. Those of us who care for you will do everything we can to help you adjust to these new experiences and situations, and I can only hope that you let us help you.

I love you very much and only want the best for you. Please know that we wouldn't make you make these changes if you didn't have to.
