"Head...Shoulders...Knees and...SOCKS!"

That bastard!  He made a treasure hunt for my birthday present!  He just gave me the first clue, which is cut into a puzzle piece.  The back has yellow text that is seemingly gibberish, but I'm sure relevant later.

The first clue: "Continuous Performance Daily from 10AM Sundays from 4pm (Enter in Rear)".  I checked his back pockets - no go.  Hmm...  figured it out - it's from a poster hanging in our hallway from our trip to London in 2002.  (but only because Shiny gave me hints and I remembered him looking at the poster this afternoon).

Second clue: "Where should we go to play with Mr. Fancy Coffee Shop Coffee Pourer, Mr. Doggie Spa Operator, and Mr. Taco Salad Inventor Guy?"  Real Men of Genius! Got that right away.  But where in the house?  Quarters!  I have a puzzle in which we place each of the State quarters.  After hints, I found it under Missouri.

Third clue: "I'm your biggest fan.  When you're sleeping, I watch you from above.  Just try and stop me.  I dare you."  Easy - the ceiling fan in our bedroom.  Creepy clue.  Dusty fan!

Fourth clue: "PROPERTY OF DC USY"  Easy - I wrote that in big letters on a Twister game I bought for the kids.  Open it up - "The Girls Next Door" Season 2 DVD set!  I only watch it for the articles.

Fifth clue: "Is it still raining?  I hadn't noticed..."  My Four Weddings a Funeral VHS tape.  I hate that line.  It ruins the entire movie.  But the box is empty, so I check the VCR and find...

Sixth clue: "Required equipment per Michael Krzyzewski."  This was one of the hardest.  Although the name was familiar, I cheated and Googled him.  Then I remembered - I only know him by his nickname "Coach K"  So I check Av's basketball.  No clue.  Shines was getting annoyed with me.  I checked the air pump.  Was going to check my Converse high-tops.  He gave me lots of clues.  Finally I remembered that Coach K is also the name of Av's soccer coach.  Looked in his soccer bag and found... the latest edition of the Ferris Bueller DVD! 

And then I noticed the yellow writing on the back of each clue...

I taped the clues together and got this:

And I figured that out too!  (can any of you?)  And in the microwave I found a beautiful diamond and emerald bracelet!  I always joke about wanting "something sparkly" and had told him that he could wait until next year.  In my mind, 36 is the bigger birthday (being double-chai and all that).  He said it's been awhile (my last big gift was for my 30th), so this was a lovely surprise!  Especially since my birthday isn't even for another hour!

Shiny's the best damn husband period.
