A better day...
Well today was a better day. I spent the better part of the day cataloging a collection of photographs that I had spent two hours trying to sort through yesterday. I'm very much looking forward to tomorrow and Friday, as a majority of my office will be out of town attending a professional conference.
Now driving home today was quite the adventure. Since it looked like it was fixing to storm something awful, I called Spouse to tell him I could pick up the Child due to the impending weather, since I was closer to the daycare. By the time I walked out of the building (a whole 5 minutes later) we were deep in a thunderstorm. I turn on the news radio station and they inform us that we are in a severe storm warning. Guh. There will be heavy rain, and possible hail. Great. Not two minutes after the report ended I'm two miles down 395 South with my hazard lights blinking, barely able to see the cars around me, hail and rain beating down on the car. Then, we just drive right out of it. Poof! Light sprinkles and deep puddles, and by the time I hit the exit, we had sunshine, and no clouds. This was all in the span of 3 miles! The strangest thing was that when Child and I got home - there was not a drop of water on the ground - it NEVER rained at our house, which is only another 4.5 miles from the daycare center. Strange. Very strange indeed.
After we got home, I was able to salvage the brownies from last night and finish the cheesecake - it looks great! The top didn't crack at all! Hopefully the daycare ladies will appreciate that we appreciate them!

No sock-a-roos - sock it to me!
