"Head...Shoulders...Knees and...SOCKS!"

First off let me say that I was raised a football girl.  We just didn't have pro-baseball down where I grew up. 

But tonight I've been watching the game with Spouse, who has been explaining the rules to the game.  I've never understood the appeal of baseball - I always found it rather boring.  The Red Sox-Yankees games these past few nights have been exciting to watch because of the anticipation of whether the Sox could pull off the comeback and actually make it to the World Series.

Now I've really been pulling for them to win (ahem...fairweather fan...ahem)  but that's for two reasons:
1 - I like socks.
2 - I don't like the Yankees.  I find them rather smarmy, like the Raiders, Redskins, or Miami Hurricanes. 

Power to the Red Sox - congrats to them to finally making it to the Series after lo these many years. 

Now lets hope the Presidential Election is this exciting for the country as well...
