"Head...Shoulders...Knees and...SOCKS!"

So as I'm leaving work today, I'm confronted with three DC cop cars lights all-a-flashing and about 10 anti-abortion protesters standing in front of our building with huge (HUGE!) posters depicting aborted fetuses.

This is not the first time this has happened, and again I had the same thought - do I need to be confronted with this while I'm leaving work? Do the little ones who are in the daycare center next door need to see this when they head out?

I do suppose that that is their point. But still - I didn't realize that there was occassion to protest against abortion today. I mean what with the heightened security in the city and all, I'm surprised that they were out there.

But this made me think as I was zipping down the highway - where do these pictures come from? Could the family of a fetus whose image is used in the poster, assuming that it would even be possible to make that identification at all, sue the protesters for use of the image?
